Report: Tennessee's Marquez North not enrolled in classes for spring

That is not ideal.

Tennessee wide receiver Marquez North was a bit of a disappointment this year as he only played in seven games and had six receptions for 58 yards. Those aren't exactly numbers that will get you drafted into the NFL, but North has not enrolled in classes for spring so he might be trying to go pro. Dustin Dopirak of the Knoxville News Sentinel was the first to report this news.

North is not enrolled in classes at UT for the spring semester, the Tennessee registrar's office and athletic department spokesman Ryan Robinson confirmed to the News Sentinel on Friday morning. Robinson said the program doesn't know his plans. An NFL media relations spokesman said the league will not confirm the names of any underclass entrants in the draft before releasing a full list next week.

North could declare for the pros or he could try to transfer elsewhere and sit out a year per NCAA rules. The 6-foot-3, 229-pounder, caught 38 passes for 496 yards and a touchdown in 2013 to earn freshman All-SEC honors, but hasn't been the same since.
