Four-star CB Sheridan Jones says one recent visit has 'piqued' his interest

This bodes well for one school.

Four-star cornerback Sheridan Jones hadn't heard much from the Tennessee coaching staff until Jeremy Pruitt took over and made contact with him recently. The Volunteers also had him on campus earlier in the month for a 7-on-7 tournament and the visit definitely got him thinking.

"It piqued my interest. I'll probably try and get back a little soon," Jones told 247Sports. "I was considering them (before). Well, I wasn't really considering them. But then, when the coaching staff changed, that's when I started gaining a relationship with the coaches over there. I've been talking to them, and then they figured out when we were going to come up there and visit, so (my interest has) kind of been for a little minute now."

Jones also mentioned that Clemson, South Carolina and Ohio State are recruiting him the hardest. The 6-foot, 170-pound Jones out of Virginia is ranked as the No. 15 recruit at his position and No.. 5 recruit in the state according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

He also plans on getting to Ohio State for their spring game and will head to South Carolina for a visit since he has a tournament nearby next month. He also mentioned the possibility of making his commitment before his senior season so he could be cutting down his list of schools fairly soon.

Here are some of his highlights:
