On a social media livestream, MacIntyre says, "As for my commitment, I love this state, the fan base, and the coaches. I'll be staying home at the University of Tennessee."
He then stands up, wearing a white-and-orange Vols cap. He removes his jacket, revealing a Vols shirt underneath, before picking up the microphone again to say, "Go Vols!"
People in the livestream chat are excited, spamming the "orange" emoji.
MacIntyre also had offers from Alabama and LSU, but the Brentwood Academy alum chose the Vols. He's now their highest-rated recruit for the 2025 class.
"I love the idea of the home-state kid going to the home-state school," MacIntyre told Rivals.com's Sean Williams. "I really like what head coach [Josh] Heupel has brought to Tennessee. I think he's got the energy back and offensively, when they are firing, they are firing. I feel like when they have all their cylinders rolling, they are one of the most explosive offenses in the country."
MacIntyre is 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds.
We’re going to see this A LOT this season folks.

In the clip above, MacIntyre is seen dropping the ball into a bucket on a standard go-route. His arm strength and ability to push the ball downfield will be beneficial in Heupel's offense.
As a junior at Brentwood Academy, MacIntyre completed 285 of 423 passes for 3,229 yards, 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also ran for three touchdowns. He led Brentwood Academy to the Tennessee Division II-AAA state quarterfinals. He got his first shot at starting in high school in 2022, when he went 9-3 and completed 175 of 270 passes for 2,341 yards, 19 touchdowns and four interceptions.
We look forward to the 2025 Volunteers season to see MacIntyre hit the field.
