Tennessee CB accidentally becomes part of extortion scheme and things have gotten weird

This scheme is actually insane.

A man from Sweetwater, Tennessee tried to extort a woman for money by sending Snapchats and using the same alias as Volunteers cornerback Cameron Sutton. According to a report from WBIR.com's Mark Bergin, the 22-year-old Tennessee native used the name "Camsutton2323" while trying to extort money from a woman. She believed that it was the senior CB she was conversing with when in fact it wasn't.

Brandon Douglas Shanahan is the culprit of the crime and has been charged with intent to extort money and other things from a woman and he's been accused of threatening to injure her reputation.

A law enforcement investigation revealed Sutton was a victim of criminal impersonation. Authorities said in a released statement that Sutton had not actually conversed with the woman via Snapchat or other means, and was not aware that Shanahan impersonated him.

Meanwhile, the senior cornerback and the real Cameron Sutton will be preparing for his last season in Knoxville and hoping to improve on his 28 tackles and an interception.
