Tennessee fan starts a GoFundMe for Gator QB's 'funeral'

This is pretty aggressive.

It is officially Tennessee-Florida week and the hate is all too real on both sides. With Florida starting quarterback Luke Del Rio out against Tennessee because of a low hit he took in the North Texas game, Austin Appleby is set to start. The Purdue graduate transfer is definitely not in Big Ten country and he got his first hint of that on Sunday.

Someone decided it was high time to set up a GoFundMe page for Appleby who will apparently die by the hands of the Volunteer defense. The page is trying to raise $3,000 so that Appleby can have a "funeral" after the game. Normally, the site is used for legitimate fundraising for things of real merit, but it looks like one guy thought it would be funny to set this up.

From the GoFundMe page, which at the time of this post had raised $10 of its stated goal of $3,000:

First and foremost ladies and gentleman, thank you for taking the time to view this page. September 24th, 2016 is a day that will live in infamy. A young man named Austin Appleby, the back-up quarterback of the Florida Gators, will be pressed into action against the fearful Tennessee Volunteers defensive front-seven lead by head coach, Butch Jones. After a litany of savage, brutal & ferocious hits on the gridiron, our nation will have witnessed its nightmare. A murder on live television.

I could not imagine watching from my living room as my son was brutally murdured. To help his parents deal with the pain, suffering and mental anguish of being Florida fans, I have decided to make this GoFundMe in order to assist the family with the costs of tranportation, embalming & the funeral.

If you could find it in your heart to say a prayer and donate $50 to this cause,  I know that maybe we can raise enough money that his parents can forget about him by purchasing a front yard pool.

Help spread the word!

This seems a little insensitive and frankly, $3,000 just wouldn't cut it for a funeral these days. So there's really just a lot of disrespect going around here. Appleby is getting a rude and disturbing introduction to SEC football and the week is only going to get rougher from here.
