Tennessee desperately needs size in its frontcourt and some of that has been remedied thanks to the transfer of Utah State forward Lew Evans. In his senior year at Utah State, Evans averaged 8.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game on 45 percent shooting.
Evans also shot 35.6 percent from three-point range last season and he will be immediately eligible for the Vols for 2016-17. Having a guy who can play big and on the wing when needed will be huge for this team with Rick Barnes in his second year coaching the Vols. Tennessee finished the season 15-19 and 6-12 in conference play.
