Tennessee lands commitment from in-state kicker, top five in the nation

That's an underrated get for Butch Jones and his staff.

Tennessee had just offered a big footed kicker for 2018, but it looks like the Volunteers have found their next kicker a class early. Brent Cimaglia was originally committed to Southern Miss, but he attended UT's STATEment camp in Nashville and was offered a scholarship after impressing the staff.

Cimaglia is the state's best specialist and he was so excited about the prospect of staying in the state that he tweeted out:

The commitment of the 6'2, 215-pound kicker gives Tennessee its ninth in the class of 2017. Cimaglia also punted for Page High School in Franklin, Tennessee.
