Usually if your team just lost a heartbreaker like Tennessee did on Saturday, you're in bad spirits. However, these guys who made the trip to Gainesville for a bachelor party were alright and even saw some Florida players at the Steak 'N' Shake they were eating at after the game. The two parties struck up some conversation and this is how it went down according to a letter written to FOX Sports from one of the guys.
There was a big group of guys going to Gainesville for a bachelor party. They decided they weren't going to let the result of the game ruin their fun so they were out and about downtown until about three in the morning. They went to Steak 'N' Shake since they were hungry and ended up seeing some Florida football players there. The group of guys ended up having a conversation with them —- which was a friendly one.
Somehow the topic of one of the Tennessee guys never losing an arm wrestling match came up. From there the arm wrestling ensued and we got some entertaining trash talk and arm wrestling. But it wasn't done there as more guys came up and asked the players if they would arm wrestle since they lost the first bout. They agreed and sent one of the bigger players to match up with one of the undefeated champs of Tennessee.
Fortunately, it was all in good fun and they even got video of the second arm wrestling match.
How crazy is that? It's nice to see some safe, competitive spirit between the two parties without any animosity or violence. This could have easily taken a turn for the worse, but it didn't and it stayed pretty light.
