Tennessee’s contest with Texas A&M couldn’t get much more intense, meaning the Volunteers need all hands on deck for their matchup of the year to date.

While Butch Jones maintains that star running back Jalen Hurd will be a game-time decision, 247sports is reporting he is not expected to play this week.

That could be a devastating blow to a Tennessee team that needed a literal hail mary to beat Georgia on the road last week.

The Vols also can’t afford multiple in-conference losses with the possibility of Florida not having to make up its contest with LSU, thus moving the Gators into striking distance of an SEC East title.

Hurd has rushed for over 400 yards and two touchdowns this season.

We’ll continue to monitor his situation leading up to the game.
