This writer says this surprising SEC lineman will have most sacks among newcomers

It won't surprise the fans of this team though.

There are going to be plenty of impact freshmen on SEC teams this year, but they may not have the most impact as newcomers. There are some transfers who could make a name for themselves this year and Tennessee's Jonathan Kongbo is one of them. The sophomore defensive lineman came onto campus weighing a paltry 247 pounds while standing an incredible 6'6".

Well, Kongbo has put on 35 pounds and hasn't lost any of the speed that netted him 11 sacks last season playing for Western Arizona in the JUCO ranks. That's why 247Sports writer Barton Simmons believes Kongbo will net the most sacks among newcomers in 2016. He compares Kongbo to Robert Nkemdiche and we all know how that turned out for Ole Miss on the football field.

It's a good thing Nick Saban cooled off on this guy or Butch Jones and his staff might not have gotten the chance to work with him on becoming the monster he is today. Kongbo paired with Kahlil Mackenzie, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Corey Vereen and Shy Tuttle is going to be one of the nastiest front sevens in the SEC, if not all of college football.
