Count Tim Tebow among the believers when it comes to the Tennessee Volunteers.
With the 2016 college football season officially kicking off for the SEC Thursday night, Tebow discussed Tennessee's chances at competing for the National Championship (via SDS)
"They have the talent (to do that)," Tebow said. "It's not just words. I really think they have the talent to compete for the College Football Playoff and national championship."
To do that, Tebow noted the team needs to find a way to finish.
If Tennessee avoids an upset bid by Appalachian State, the Volunteers will look to snap an 11-game losing streak against Florida, before tough tilts against Georgia and Alabama.
Wins against those three could open the door for a berth in the College Football Playoffs.
