Vols captain already thinking about second career before his first even begins

He clearly has his life figured out.

Tennessee has one of the smartest players in the country in quarterback Josh Dobbs and it looks like the Vols have one of the hardest working in senior linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin. He only took three years to graduate and will come back for his senior season with UT. His secret to graduating so early? Lay off the temptations.

Reeves-Maybin considered entering the 2016 NFL Draft, but wanted to raise his stock and win some more games with his teammates. He's also already giving his second career (after he retires from being a pro linebacker) some thought so he can stay busy after he leaves the game as a player.

That's a solid point considering how much time on the road is spent as a head coach recruiting and going on regional tours to visit all the fans. Reeves-Maybin is also recovering from shoulder surgery and is about eight weeks removed from it. He just got back to running and is getting his full range of motion back.

He has started 26 straight games for the Vols and led the squad with 105 tackles and 14 tackles for loss last year. He also recorded six sacks in 2015.
