Relatively new Texas A&M Aggies assistant Tim Brewster took to the mean streets of Twitter to take a shot at the Texas Longhorns.
For context: The Aggies recently offered a scholarship to three-star prospect Baylor Cupp. Shortly after A&M made the move, the Texas Longhorns followed suit by offering the tight end a scholarship.
Basically, Brewster is beefing with the Longhorns over a three-star tight end and we have reached peak petty recruiting battles.
For what it is worth, Brewster was previously an assistant coach for Texas. Despite that, even with that school giving him money for some period of time, it didn't prevent him from going after the Longhorns by way of 280 characters or less (here being less).
Considering that this tweet is starting to gain traction, do not be shocked if Brewster ends up deleting it at some point. While the tweet was not directed at the athlete, it isn't a great look for an adult who is employed by one university to use social media to attack another — even if in jest.
Worth noting, while Jimbo Fisher has done an excellent job in his first offseason with the Aggies, the Longhorns currently have the better incoming group of freshmen. As for the 2019 recruiting class, only time will tell.
