Texas A&M sophomore defensive end James Lockhart has decided he will leave the program for next season. The 6'2", 260-pound end was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and was the No. 10 strong-side defensive end.
"James is looking for a new start and somewhere where he fits a little bit better," his father said Monday evening. "He just wants to look at everywhere out there and see what scheme he fits in and where he will be happy."
Lockhart appeared in all 12 games this season recording eight tackles and one for a loss. The Ennis, Tex. native chose the Aggies over Baylor and Alabama when he first committed.
