ESPN analyst names which one of the newest SEC coaching hires will be 'most succesful'

Will he end up being right?

People love to project what programs did best during a time when none of it can actually be proven. Despite everyone knowing a hire in December can't be fact-checked as great until some games are actually played, it hasn't stopped ESPN's Mark Schlabach from claiming the Texas A&M Aggies made the best hire in all of the SEC.

According to Schlabach, Texas A&M bringing in Jimbo Fisher is greatness personified.

"I think Jimbo Fisher probably becomes the most successful for Texas A&M," Schlabach said on 94.5 FM WJOX program The Opening Drive. "I think Jimbo is one of the better coaches in the country, I think A&M has been a sleeping giant for decades now. They love to spend money, they have the facilities, they have the fan base, obviously located in one of the more fertile recruiting hotbeds in America — so he can get players.

"I like the staff he's assembled, so far. I think it will take a couple years for him to get the personnel he needs but I think long term he's probably the guy."

To be fair to the ESPN on-air talent, he was asked which SEC team did the best hiring. He was merely answering a question.

Only time will tell how Fisher does with the Aggies, but he's only the second coach in the last 40 seasons to leave an FBS program voluntarily after winning a national championship. Either he's confident he could win a ton with Texas A&M or he loves himself some money.

Or both. It could be both.
