Video: Ref gets the bejesus scared out of him when he gets a little too close to a firing cannon

He tried to walk it off too!

Every school has different traditions for when their teams score touchdowns and field goals. For instance, Oregon's duck mascot does a pushup for every point on the board, Georgia Tech has a train whistle that blows on each score and many more schools have a specific song that's played after each score.

Texas A&M has a considerably different tradition as it fires a cannon known as "The Spirit of '02" every time the Aggies score. One ref officiating the game must have forgotten this as he wandered close to the corner of the end zone where the cannon is housed and was completely startled and even almost fell down after hearing the blast.
