When asked at the beginning of the season who everyone thought would win the SEC East, there were really only three options. It was going to be either Georgia, Tennessee or Florida. Well, we're nine weeks through the season and only one of those schools is still a contender in Florida.

However, in that time one other school has emerged as a potential SEC East champion. The most unlikely of all programs in Kentucky could potentially represent the SEC East in a conference championship game and this isn't basketball we're talking about. Here's what needs to happen in order for that to take place:
While it is very possible Florida could lose to both of those SEC opponents, it is highly unlikely Kentucky can win both of those games. The Volunteers will be pissed at how poorly their season has gone while Georgia should have enough talent to beat the Wildcats. But if that scenario happens it will be the first time ever in SEC history that UK has appeared in the conference championship game.
