It's been four years since quarterback Tim Tebow has played in an NFL regular season game — 2012 when he was with the New York Jets. His last time on a team was last year, when Chip Kelly in Philadelphia tried to find use for him in the preseason, but he was cute before the regular season began. In a recent interview with "Larry King Now," he revealed that the dream to play QB in the NFL is not completely dead yet — at least not in his own eyes.
"I've talked to a lot of my friends who are in the league and playing and all around, so yeah," Tebow said when asked about the chances of playing pro football again via the New York Daily News.
Tebow went on to talk about how quarterback is is one true passion, and it's important to pursue what you believe in your heart is what your meant to do — something I'm sure might not be music to the ears of NFL teams who see him being utilized at a different position.
"You pursue what's on your heart, you pursue what you're passionate about and for me in the game of football, is the position of quarterback," Tebow said. "You don't do things necessarily because other people want you to, you do what's on your heart, what you're passionate about and that's what I tried to do."
With training camps beginning next month across the league, it'll be interesting to see if a team or coach decides to take a gamble on him. Tebow was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2010 NFL Draft with the No. 25 overall pick in the first round.
