Gene Stallings and Steve Spurrier are two absolute legends in the SEC. Both won National Championships and met six times head-to-head. Two of those games were in Atlanta for the SEC Championship in 1994 when Florida won 24-23 and in 1996 when Florida won 45-30 on its way to its first national title.

The two coaches will meet up once again in Atlanta and this time the stakes are not nearly as high:
#Gators legend Steve Spurrier and former Bama coach Gene Stallings will do the opening coin toss for next month's SEC title game.

The two will be there to commemorate the 25th SEC Championship Game. It can certainly be argued that these two coaches made the game what it is today and were responsible for some of the best teams to ever play in this annual game. Stallings' Crimson Tide won the SEC and national title in 1992 while Spurrier won five SEC Coach of the Year awards and six SEC titles.
