Watch the TD that has kept Barnett in Bama's QB discussion

After Alabama's 52-6 win over USC Saturday it would have seemed to be an easy decision for Nick Saban to announce that Jalen Hurts, fresh off of a four touchdown performance, was the quarterback of the future for the Tide. Saban did not however, instead announcing the decision for the future at QB was yet to be made.

Saban furthered that point Monday telling the press that he plans on playing two quarterbacks this Saturday against Western Kentucky. The decision may have been much easier to go with Hurts as the starter had Blake Barnett not come back in the game after starting and being replaced by Hurts and done so well. Barnett finished 5/6 for 100 yards and a touchdown against USC, keeping him in the quarterback conversation.

The job currently looks like Hurts' to lose, but if Barnett plays exceptionally well against Western Kentucky things could get complicated for the Tide. Hopefully the situation will be sorted out before week 3 against Ole Miss or the Tide could face the possibility of a repeat of last year.
