Showtime to air season-long documentary on Florida State football in 2016

Last yeah, "A Season With" chronicled Notre Dame's football season.

Showtime has officially chosen which college football team is will chronicle for its season-long documentary, titled "A Season With." According to both Tomahawk Nation and the Tallahassee Democrat, Showtime has officially chosen the Florida State Seminoles as the show's team for 2016. A formal announcement was made 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

Last season, Showtime chronicled Notre Dame's 2015 season.

"Jimbo Fisher and his staff reviewed the Notre Dame series and were satisfied with the level of editorial control the team could exercise over the final product." Tomahawk Nation reports. "With concerns over what happens to all the film that will be shot (30+ hours weekly) assuaged, FSU gave the green light."

Given Florida State's high expectations, and having a potential Heisman Trophy winner in junior running back Dalvin Cook, the choice is pretty obvious. We will update this story around 3:00 p.m. with any worthy updates from Showtime's official release.
