Details are currently unclear on what caused Parks' passing, but SportsDay is reporting that he passed away in his sleep in Saturday night as he was taking a nap. The family has since asked for privacy as they deal with the situation.

Parks was rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports. The Texarkana, Texas product committed to SMU in July, picking the Mustangs over schools like UL-Monroe and Missouri State.
