Following the controversy generated by ESPN over the past two months, it appears that layoffs are hitting another giant in sports media.

Sports Illustrated's Brian Hamilton and Lindsay Schnell both announced on Friday that they are part of the company's recent layoffs.

Both Hamilton and Schnell had been reporting on college sports with Sports Illustrated over the past few years before they were laid off.
Sports Illustrated also laid of basketball guru Seth Davis a few weeks ago. Davis had been with Sports Illustrated for over 20 years prior to his layoff.

Davis has since started his own website, SethsDraftHouse.com.
