Four-star defensive end Stephon Wynn Jr. (6-foot-4, 285 pounds, Anderson, SC) was considering staying in state with South Carolina, but on Saturday, Wynn announced that he had committed to play at Alabama.
Wynn was also considering Georgia, and had given some consideration to Clemson before cutting down his final three to Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. Wynn's father played at Clemson in the 1990s, but the Tigers missed out this time around.
Wynn, a four-star recruit, is rated as the No. 5 strong-side defensive end according to the 247Sports Composite. With the commitment, Alabama now has six recruit for their 2018 class. Things have started off slowly for the Crimson Tide in recruiting, but it there shouldn't be any worries for the Alabama faithful, as there is plenty of time left in the recruiting cycle.
