Steve Spurrier tried to take a selfie, and it went hilariously wrong

Steve Spurrier wins award, then can't seem to figure out his phone.

It looks like Steve Spurrier might be one of these older types that are still trying to get a handle on all this new technology.

The head ball coach was given the Contributions to College Football Award by the National College Football Awards Association Thursday night in Atlanta, and he tried to take a selfie with his trophy. Only he couldn't seem to get it right, so he had someone else take the picture for him.

Here's some of what Spurrier had to say after picking up the hardware:

"...I'm grateful and I'm appreciative...when you're coaching, you always talk to your players about creating memories of a lifetime. And when they were showing a video of all those SEC (championships), now the guys are enjoying those 20 years later...It's neat seeing all those players...I had 30 good years and I'm looking forward to whatever comes next."

Like we've said all along — the more Spurrier, the better.
