Humongous 325-pound OG Tank Jenkins names his Top 8 schools

The Tank is down to 8!

Sometimes, a name just fits a player perfectly and that is the case for 2018 offensive line prospect Tank Jenkins. The rising high school senior checks in at 6'2.5 and 325 pounds, giving credence to his first name in a big way and, on Friday, the big man released an updated top eight when it comes to recruiting.

There are no grand surprises from Jenkins, who hails from Montgomery (Ala.) and Park Crossing High School. His list includes (in alphabetical order) Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Louisville, Miami, Missouri, Oklahoma and South Carolina, with the caveat that Jenkins also has a reported offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Along with his list, Jenkins shared the following sentiment on Twitter.

"Thank you God for giving me life and the many blessings you have placed upon me! Thanks to my mother for all of her support. She's the real MVP! Thanks to all the coaches who have offered me a chance to get an education and play football at their schools. But the time has come for me to narrow down my options for school. Here are the schools I will continue to evaluate and communicate with until I decide to commit to one of them!"

At this relatively early date, 247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions display a lean toward Bobby Petrino and Louisville and the consensus four-star offensive lineman could certainly end up in that spot. Still, there is a long way to go and Tank Jenkins is a very intriguing name to keep an eye on in the future.
