TCU looked completely dead in the water in the Alamo Bowl against Oregon, as the Ducks took a 31-0 lead into halftime. At half, TCU coach Gary Patterson changed one important thing to help the Horned Frogs: he changed clothes.
No, seriously.
It worked apparently, as TCU came back from 31-down to win 47-41 in triple-overtime. A win for superstition!
In all seriousness, though, the loss of quarterback Vernon Adams severely hurt Oregon's offense, and they did not score for the remainder of regulation because of it. Meanwhile, TCU backup quarterback Bram Kohlhausen got into a great rhythm in the second half, and the senior backup racked up 351 yards in the win.
The 31-point comeback represents the largest in bowl history, tying Texas Tech's 31-point comeback in the 2006 Insight Bowl.
