Every year Kirk Herbstreit hands out a ton of preseason awards including some he makes up and others that are actual awards. He also predicts who will be in the College Football Playoffs and who will win it all. He doesn't see a repeat performance from the Crimson Tide, but does see them representing the SEC in the playoffs.

He has the Clemson Tigers breaking through a runner-up hangover and winning the championship this year. That's something this Tiger squad and coach Dabo Swinney certainly deserve and have been working for ever since he was made the permanent coach in 2008. Herbstreit also says that quarterback Deshaun Watson is the most likely player to have a 4,000/1,000 season like he did last year.
