Army has lost sophomore cornerback Brandon Jackson after he was involved in a one-car accident. The Queens, New York native started in nine games last year and started both contests so far this year. He recorded six tackles and two pass breakups to help the Black Knights start 2-0 with wins over Temple and Rice.

The news was confirmed Monday morning by Army coach Jeff Monken and he released this statement:
"Words cannot describe the grief that our team is feeling over the loss of our brother and friend. He was a beloved teammate and our hearts are with his family at this time of tragedy."
Some members of the team also sent out some tribute tweets to their fallen comrade.

Army will certainly have something more to play for the rest of the season and our prayers are with the team and the young man's family.
