No recruits seems to be stirring up controversy lately like Alabama's five-star commits.
Five-star Alabama commit Alex Leatherwood (6-foot-6, 327 pounds, Pensacola, FL) is the No. 6 overall recruit in the nation per 247Sports, and he has been committed to the Crimson Tide for over a year. However, a little bit of controversy emerged on Friday when it was discovered that Leatherwood was in Athens for a surprise official visit to Georgia.
247Sports first reported the news of Leatherwood's visit. The 6-foot-6 offensive tackle had previously visited Georgia earlier this year for their game against Vanderbilt.

This isn't the first time that Leatherwood has made a visit to another school in spite of his commitment to Alabama. He has also taken official visits to Michigan, Texas, and Auburn.
Why this could scare Alabama: Leatherwood has previously announced that he will sign financial papers with a school on Dec. 16, which could allow him to enroll early. Georgia getting Leatherwood's final official visit before that date could prove to be crucial.
