The two teams that Florida and LSU cancelled on come to hilarious resolution

A happy ending!

Well this is a happy ending.

In all the hubbub of LSU and Florida getting their cancelled game rescheduled for Nov. 19, one thing kind of went under the radar: Presbyterian and South Alabama now both had open dates, as Florida and LSU had to cancel with those two teams in order to open the date for their game in Baton Rouge.

Well, those two teams took the best of a bad situation, and will now be playing on Nov. 19 in Mobile, AL.

The game was very important to South Alabama's schedule. The Jaguars — who have upsets over Mississippi State and San Diego State this year — originally had a BYE week before the now-cancelled LSU game. If they were unable to get an opponent, they would have had an awkward 21 day-stretch between games in November.

Once again, a sort of happy ending to what has been a story that involved a lot of bad-mouthing between SEC athletic directors.
