With the 2016 recruiting cycle essentially over, it is time to start focusing on the future classes of 2017 and 2018. Well, one of the biggest names of the emerging 2018 class is already off the board, as four-star quarterback Matt Corral (6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Thousand Oaks, CA) has committed to USC.
While it may seem like an early commit — Corral is only a sophomore in high school — there is really no point in waiting if he has an offer from the school he wants to attend.
For what it's worth, the kid does look like a great quarterback already, and the first highlight in his tape below shows that; not many sophomore quarterbacks are pulling perfect pump-fakes, and 40-yard throws down field. Looks like USC has a good quarterback for the future.
