Top JUCO WR recruit spurns Alabama, commits to this school instead

The former South Carolina commit will be going elsewhere.

Four-star JUCO wide receiver Stephen Guidry (6-foot-4, 190 pounds, Morganza, LA) decommitted from South Carolina just a few weeks ago, and he has been looking for a new home ever since.

Just a week ago, Guidry had named Alabama as his leader, as he had appeared to enjoy a visit to Tuscaloosa. On Saturday, though, he said no to Alabama, instead deciding to commit to LSU.

This was originally what was expected when Guidry first decommitted from South Carolina. The Louisiana native was likely going to stay closer to home, and it looks like he will do just that.

Guidry is the second commit for LSU of the day, joining unranked fullback Tory Carter. LSU also got a commit from four-star offensive tackle Austin Deculus on Friday, meaning the Tigers have had a great weekend in recruiting.

Guidry also had offers from Alabama, Miami, and Mississippi State.
