Memphis head coach Mike Norvell announced on Wednesday that two football players had been suspended following an incident where shots were reportedly fired at a player's car.

The two players, Jae'Lon Oglesby and Kam Prewitt, were reportedly involved in an altercation on the Memphis campus on Tuesday, according to the Commercial-Appeal. Later that night, shots were fired outside Oglesby's off-campus apartment, and he later discovered signifcant bullet damage to his Nissan Altima.

No injuries have been reported from the incident, although a spray bullet was reported to have broken a nearby apartment.
While the two incidents have not been confirmed to be related, Oglesby did inform the police about his previous altercation with Prewitt when giving a report following the shooting.
Oglesby, a sophomore, has 25 catches in his career at Memphis. Prewitt, a redshirt freshman, has yet to play in a game for the Tigers.
