Four-star quarterback Tyler Shough, the No. 10 overall pro-style quarterback per 247sports, made his commitment to North Carolina, just one day after taking an unofficial camp visit to the Tarheels.
“I would like to thank God for guiding me through this process and blessing me with these decisions. Thank you to my parents especially, for always supporting me in everything I do and being someone I can look up to. I appreciate every coach who has given me a chance to play for them and their school. My teammates, coaches, and teachers have all impacted my life immensely in some way and I am grateful. The program I have chosen is the right fit for me and is heading in a positive direction with pristine academics and an excellent coaching staff. I want to be a part of something great moving forward and truly develop, my teammates, and the community in Chapel Hill. I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to the University of North Carolina.”
247sports listed Michigan as the heavy favorites to land him with a 65 percent Crystal Ball prediction. He took an unofficial visit to Michigan in mid-May.
Shough had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Cal and South Carolina, among others.
Shough is a 6’5″, 187-pound quarterback out of Chandler, Arizona.
