Nation's No. 10 ranked linebacker announces verbal commitment

Juliano Falaniko was choosing between USC, Utah, Washington and Oregon.

Three-star linebacker Juliano Falaniko (6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Pago Pago, As.) has made a decision regarding his college future. Over the weekend, Falaniko announced that he would be taking his talents to Los Angeles, and is verbally committed to USC.

Falaniko, although listed as a linebacker, is being recruited by USC as a safety. He recently talked with Scout.com about his decision.

"USC is my dream school, it's where I've always wanted to go," Falaniko said. "Even my parents wanted me to go to USC. It's an incredible school and I believe the tradition will never die there.

"I haven't visited there yet but I'm planning to get out there really soon to check the place out. I feel really good about my decision and I have a good relationship with Coach Nansen, who was my primary recruiter. I'm really excited to be a Trojan right now, it really is a dream come true for me."

Falaniko's commitment brings USC's 2017 total to five for head coach Clay Helton. He picked the Trojans over Arizona, Oregon, Utah and several others.
