Las Vegas casino Golden Nugget is getting into midseason form, dropping its first over/under for the 2016-17 college football season.
While it has some respectable lines, such as Clemson at 10 wins (-120/even), Florida State at 10 wins (-120/even) or Oklahoma at 10 wins (+110/-130), other win total projections are quite insane.
The most outrageous? Alabama at 9.5 wins (-110/-110) and LSU at 9.5 wins (-140/+120), while Tennessee stands at 10 wins (-110/-110) and Ole Miss plummets to just 7.5 wins (-105/-115).
Alabama and LSU are heavy contenders for the College Football Playoffs. Tennessee has been on the outside looking in among most preseason rankings.
Of course this is gambling, and the house is designed to win in some occasions, but some of these projections are quite bizarre.
