The fullback has almost become a lost position in modern offenses in football, but the Virginia Tech Hokies used theirs to great effect on Monday night against Ohio State.
That is fullback Sam Rogers catching a pass on a wheel route out of the backfield. Rogers nearly had a full open field available to him as Ohio State corner Eli Apple came over to try and cut him off. Instead of trying to physical power through or just run out of bounds, Rogers hit the old right-left-right on the juke stick, sending the Apple flying past him as he roared into the endzone.
