Xavier Thomas is the top recruit in the nation for 2018 according to ESPN. The 6'3", 260-pound defensive end plays for Wilson High School in Florence, S.C. He pretty much has his choice of schools and now he's narrowed it down to seven of them.

You have to think that South Carolina and Clemson have a great shot at the kid in their backyard (recruiting-wise) and ESPN has even predicted he will end up with the Gamecocks. That would obviously be a huge recruiting coup for Will Muschamp and his staff and could really speed up the development process of that program.
