Cardinal Newman offensive lineman Colt Hauser announced that he has committed to the Wolfpack, sharing the news on social media.

Hauser, a three-star recruit in the Class of 2027, helped Cardinal Newman capture its first Florida High School Athletic Association state championship during the 2025 season.

After transferring from Jensen Beach, Hauser became part of a Crusaders team that produced one of the state's most memorable playoff runs. Cardinal Newman capped the season with an upset victory over four-time defending state champion Chaminade-Madonna in the Class 1A title game.

The 6-foot-5 offensive lineman chose NC State over several other Division I programs. According to 247Sports, Hauser held 12 scholarship offers, including opportunities from North Carolina, Duke and West Virginia.

Hauser is also the son of actor Cole Hauser, who is best known for portraying fan-favorite ranch foreman Rip Wheeler on the hit television series Yellowstone.

According to recruiting rankings from 247Sports, Hauser is listed among Florida's top offensive line prospects in the 2027 recruiting class.

NC State continues to build its future recruiting classes under coach Dave Doeren, and the addition of Hauser gives the Wolfpack an early commitment from a player who helped lead a state championship program.
