Outfielder's Unbelievable Catch Goes Viral Because of Painful Ending

Jack Porter made one of the most sensational catches you'll ever see for the Lima Locos, but the ending is what made it go viral.

College baseball may be over, but terrific home run-robbing catches certainly aren't.

That's because in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, Jack Porter of the Lima Locos is patrolling the outfield. And during a recent game for the Locos, Porter made one of the more unbelievable catches you'll ever see. He didn't just take away a three-run home run, he flipped over the fence and probably broke his butt on a bench.

Now that's what putting your body on the line looks like. Porter had absolutely no care in the world for his body, as long as he hauled in the catch to help his pitcher out.

Porter is a freshman for the UCF Knights, and UCF pitchers can rest easily knowing this is the type of effort that will be behind them in the field. Maybe he learned that effort from his familly — his dad, Scott Porter, played in the Toronto Blue Jays organization and his step-father, Nolan Reimold, hit 56 home runs in the big leagues.

Porter's catch has also earned him some attention on social media.

It landed No. 2 on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays, plus it's been tweeted out by Bleacher Report and the "Talkin' Baseball" podcast.

Porter's catch was something straight out of a gymnastics floor routine considering the amount of flipping he did. The only thing that could've made it better is if he stuck the landed. But hey, at least he held on to the ball.
