LSU Player Christian Little Goes Viral for On-Field Antics During College World Series

LSU defeated Wake Forest to make it to the finals of the College World Series.

The College World Series finals matchup was decided Thursday night when Wake Forest and LSU squared off in a winner-take-all matchup in Omaha. LSU ultimately came out on top — but not without some drama from their Wednesday night affair.

After losing to Wake Forest on Monday 3-2, LSU defeated Tennessee to earn a chance to play Wake Forest again on Wednesday, winning 5-2. Before Wednesday's game, Wake Forest junior Camden Minacci not only said that they'd beat LSU but also claimed that it's "pretty much impossible" to beat Wake Forest.

Well, as we know now, that didn't age well.

It's notable that this statement came after their 3-2 win on Monday — which, given the margin of victory, is a statement that Minacci likely wishes he had back.

Now here's where the real drama begins.

Following the win over the Tigers on Monday, Wake Forest displayed some, uh, interesting celebratory techniques, including players thrusting themselves in the face of their teammates. College, right?

Also, a beach ball circulated throughout the stadium during their Monday game, as is a College World Series tradition. One of the Wake Forest outfielders didn't get the memo and popped the ball.

On Wednesday, LSU fans doused the field in beach balls.

Here's where it heats up a bit.

After the Tigers won on Wednesday — by a larger margin than Wake Forest did on Monday, mind you — Tigers player Christian Little did his best impersonation of Wake Forest on the field. It was...spirited, to say the least.

Following Christian's on-field antics, Wake Forest and LSU squared off Thursday evening and LSU took the win. LSU'S victory will advance them to the College World Series final round to take on the Florida Gators on Saturday.
