In a video released over "The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel," Nintendo has finally unveiled the next title in one of the company's most popular franchises - three of them, in fact!

The first and primary focus of the trailer is Pokkén Tournament DX, which will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 22, later this year.
As is typical with Nintendo games, the trailer places a heavy emphasis on social engagement. Most of the footage features the game's owner rather than actual gameplay; he's depicted backpacking around, Switch in hand, as he encounters and eventually plays Pokkén with a variety of different people.
As unrealistic as it might seem to some, there's definitely an appeal to such an easily accessible multiplayer element, especially when considering the gradual decline of split-screen options in modern video games.
While there's not much gameplay shown, Pokkén has already been out for a couple of years now for the Wii U. For those unfamiliar, the title takes the fighting genre's approach to gameplay in allowing players to take full control over their Pokémon as they battle against others in matches that more closely resemble the Super Smash Bros series.
Then, in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it reveal at the very end of the trailer, we're given a brief glimpse at upcoming titles Pokémon UltraSun and UltraMoon, which will be launched separately from Pokkén on November 17 for the Nintendo 3DS.
Though certainly not as exciting as brand new installments, Nintendo has a pretty good track record with re-releasing older games with new content and graphical elements. It's a relatively safe bet that these titles will follow suit in providing the trademark entertaining and enjoyable gameplay unique to Nintendo.
