Assassin's Creed: Origins is already set to be one of the most significant installments of the entire series, with many of the core mechanics having undergone a complete overhaul over the past two years of development. In addition to the inclusion of standard RPG elements like craftable/upgradeable weapons, a skill tree, and the ability to tame wild animals, the combat system has seen some major changes that revamp the previously-stale mechanic of counter-and-kill into a more challenging - and hopefully more engaging - experience.
