The playoffs for the 2017 Kiev Major event for DOTA 2 have officially begun.

The event, set in Kiev, Ukraine, will feature 16 teams squaring off over a $3,000,000 prize pool. Following a Swiss-system format to their event, there will be four matches in which teams are divided into two groups (High and Low). These teams will then compete others from their own group, continuing to divide them until the end of Round 4. The team with the highest score after the final round will win 1st place and take home $1,000,000.
