Wolfenstein 2's DLC will feature three separate protagonists

Bethesda's plans for Wolfenstein 2's downloadable-content include three separate campaigns set across the American Territories.

The developers over at MachineGames are really showing their dedication to marketing for the studio's upcoming Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. There's been an almost incessant drip-drip of media releases as frequent videos and updates have been regularly released online, keeping the game constantly in the news as we approach Wolfenstein 2's launch date.

The most recent of which has revealed the DLC plan for the game, and for once, nobody seems to care that the announcement predates the actual game's launch. According to Bethesda, the Season Pass - available at $24.99 - will include three separate campaigns set across the Nazi-occupied states, featuring a variety of different protagonists.

These "Freedom Chronicles" are as follows:

The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe: As former professional quarterback Joseph Stallion, smash through Nazi hordes from the ruins of Chicago to the vastness of space!

The Diaries of Agent Silent Death: As ex-OSS agent and assassin Jessica Valiant, infiltrate Nazi bunkers in California and discover the secrets of Operation San Andreas!

The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins: As the US Army's renowned hero Captain Gerald Wilkins, embark on a mission to Nazi-controlled Alaska to dismantle Operation Black Sun!

The full announcement on Bethesda's website also revealed a fourth, prequel campaign featuring all three protagonists from the aforementioned DLC packs as a reward for pre-ordering Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus:

Episode Zero: Episode Zero introduces you to Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant, and Gerald Wilkins as they fight for freedom in the American Territories. Blast your way through Nazis using unique abilities and an arsenal of guns in this opening DLC mission.

It's hard to say which is more American: fighting invading Nazis - or the incredibly heroic-sounding names of these characters. I mean, Stallion? Valiant? At least we can be certain that Wolfenstein 2 isn't taking itself too seriously.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will launch on October 27, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $59.99.
