CM Punk was the latest former WWE star-turned-MMA fighter, and we all remember how smoothly that went:
Punk was the second fighter to make a transition from WWE to UFC, following in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar. Lesnar, of course, had a background in wrestling and was an amatuer champion before taking his talent to the WWE.
Punk had multiple setbacks before debuting in the UFC, including having back surgery back in February.
Paige was the first-ever NXT women's champion, and won the women's title twice during her time in WWE.
