Near 20-year-old professional wrestling record held by Goldberg in danger of being broken WWE Network/Screenshot

Goldberg’s 157-0 record (eventually inflated to 173-0) is in danger of being broken by an unlikely source — NXT’s Asuka.

According to Reddit user Bayleyfan95, Asuka has rattled off an impressive 149-0 streak. She’s competed in 154 matches total, but in the extra five she was not submitted or pinned.

Asuka is the longest reigning NXT title holder and could break Goldberg’s record at NXT TakeOver: Orlando on WrestleMania weekend. She won the belt at last year’s WrestleMania weekend event against Bayley:

Goldberg’s streak came to an end in 1998 when Scott Hall used a taser to stun the unbeaten star before Kevin Nash hit the jackknife powerbomb for the victory.
