With less than a minute left in the ninth round, Canelo Alvarez rocked Liam Smith with a liver shot that brought the champ to his knees.
Alvarez put Smith on the mat in each of the final three rounds to claim the victory and the WBO light middleweight title.
Alvarez was asked about the perception that he's been ducking Gennady Golovkin, and he had a pretty stunning response:
