One of the biggest WWE stories of the year came after the controversial finish to the Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton match at SummerSlam. The match saw Orton suffer a large gash on his forehead after elbows from Lesnar, and many people questioned whether the finish was "worked" or real.

That controversy only furthered when it was reported that Lesnar got into a legit scuffle backstage with WWE veteran Chris Jericho. The two reportedly had to be separated by Vince McMahon after Lesnar thought that Jericho was criticizing the match.
On Wednesday, Jericho went on Chael Sonnen's You're Welcome! podcast, the Sonnen asked Jericho exactly what happened that night.
I said something and he said something, next thing you know we're nose-to-nose kind of yelling at each other and it defused fairly quickly. But I mean, listen, let's make no bones about this: Brock is a trained fighter, and he's a beast, but, you know, I'm not the type of person to back down from anybody — to my detriment or harmful to my existence even. But hotheads fire off and we're in each other's face, and that happens sometimes.
...
I'm glad he didn't eat me, but basically there was a face-to-face confrontation, and I'll leave the rest between the two of us.
Jericho did not go into too many specifics, but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (subscription required) originally reported that Jericho's concern for Orton grew into anger after no one would tell him if the spot was planned or not.
Jericho went to the Gorilla position, he was actually more worried about Randy Orton, if Orton was doing okay. He asked Michael Hayes like "What was the finish?" And Michael Hayes wouldn't tell him. The deal with Lesnar is that his stuff is kept really quiet. I don't know how many people knew the finish, but it was very, very few.

As far as the things that Jericho wants to keep "between the two of us", Meltzer also reported that Lesnar said some things during the altercation that could "probably get him in trouble" if it were to be revealed.
Lesnar's like "mind your own business", and it escalated and they were yelling at each other, and it got physical. They shoved each other, and Lesnar taunted him and called him names, a bunch of names that could probably get him in trouble if they came out... called him a pussy. They were kind of tangled up, and Triple H broke it up real quick. And then they got into it again, and Vince broke it up...
Jericho also confirmed that Orton did suffer a concussion from the event, which itself has been an on-going controversy for WWE.
Even though they are the ones that got into the fight, it's hard to blame either Jericho or Lesnar for this. Jericho was concerned for his friend, and Lesnar was just doing his job as he was told. If management had just told Jericho what the finish was supposed to be, this probably wouldn't have escalated the way it did.
As for Orton, it appears that he has recovered from the concussion. WWE held him out of his planned match with Bray Wyatt at the Backlash pay-per-view, but Orton has been working matches for the past week now.
Jericho is currently scheduled for a match with Sami Zayn at WWE's Clash of Champions on Sunday. Orton, as part of the SmackDown Live brand, won't have his next pay-per-view match until No Mercy in October.
Lesnar likely won't return to television until the annual Royal Rumble in January.
